Carbon fibres successfully reclaimed from composites and every part of the by-product stream can be reused to generate value. Sergio Durante companies are working in this technology since 2006 

The carbon fibers reclaimed from the reaction reached 99.8% carbon values, i.e., 0.2% residual resin, which is sufficient to meet the market specifications for reuse. In addition, single fibre breaking strength was found to be within acceptable ranges, with strength losses between 8.5 and 20 percent depending on the investigated material. 

The recycled carbon fiber material I use for my artwork comes from parts of aircraft, including military ones, and race cars. This unique origin infuses each piece with a deep, emotional resonance, as the material retains the essence and memories of its former life.
